As my last blog for this months topic, Australia I am going to write about Jessica Watson Who is Most well known for being the youngest person to sail round the world non-stop and unaccompanied!

When and where was she born?

Jessica Watson was born on the 18th May 1993, gold coast Australia.

Who is she?

Jessica Watson is a 23 year old from Australia who has been sailing since she was eight. She decided she wanted to sale round when she was eleven when her mum read her a book about a man called Jesse Martin who sailed round the world. It took her many years to gear up for her trip, she needed to know everything so she learnt how to fix every single thing on her boat, first aid, storm survival and how to navigate by the stars and finally she was ready.

What did she sail round the world in?

The boat that Jessica Watson sailed round the world in is a 30 foot bright pink boat called Ella's lady.
